@whitequark Linus tech tips had a similar idea but with PCI-E risers and with a GPU, the answer ended up being meters of it with barely any performance loss lol. 11 things piled onto a MegaDrive/Genesis? (I may not have counted correctly) I'm surprised they didn't manage to fit a Power Base Convertor (SEGA Master System adapter/pass through) into that stack somehow.

Admittedly, some of the goofiest tricks for that system were the "unplug XYZ cartridge, plug in ZYX cartridge without turning off the power and get infinite lives!" glitches.
