You can now share your Fediverse name with others so they can subscribe to your blog on their own Fediverse account. " -- not sure what my fediverse name is in this context (playing with steph.wordpress.com)

@pfefferle can't follow @pfefferle.wordpress.com either... is it because my wp.com account is too old? paint wasn't dry yet when I signed up hahaha... or because my main blog is climbtothestars.org (with jetpack linked to my wp.com account?)

@stephtara several things:
1. It seems that you configured your blog to work with brid.gy: https://climbtothestars.org/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct%3Astephanie%40climbtothestars.org
this interferes with the WordPress plugin, so that it might not properly work.
2. Jetpack is no longer properly connected to your WordPress.com account, so this might also come into play.
