Some quick tips for fediverse creative newcomers!
* Make an introduction post and tag it # introduction. Include hashtags of your interests. It's a great way to start making connections.
* When you post your work, include some art hashtags (e.g. # MastoArt , Art, FediArt) and tags of the medium (e.g. # watercolour , writing , composing, photography). People follow hashtags of content they want to see.
* Include alt-text! Accessibility is valued here. Guide linked below!

@Curator adding my support to this, not least as provision for people with poor connectivity. That will always be with us - I live in one of the richest corners of the richest region of the sixth richest country in the world, and the mobile signal here is crap.

@Curator Would the hashtags help if I'm on a small server that have around 6 users. Would people be reliably able to see my post based on a hashtag search in the bigger Fediverse?

@dragonfi Federation happens on a per-post level. If someone on a big instance - let's say mastodon.social - follows you, ALL of your posts are federated to mastodon.social because that one user's account is following you. Then if someone *else* on mastodon.social searches for a hashtag you've used in one of your posts, they'll find your post(s) using that hashtag. So it helps, but only on instances that your account is federating to.
