@GossiTheDog their MSP deserves some shade too for cheaping out and not deploying LTSC on those machines.
But there's never a moment when such an exclamation isn't appropriate!
@draeath @GossiTheDog If that was the ultrasound, that's manufacturer's problem for not using Embedded or IoT Windows.
If it was the workstation, it's the hospital IT's fault for not configuring update policies properly (though I don't know what's worse – what happened here, or what I see in hospitals, where Windows on workstations usually remains unchanged from the moment we install it).

For anybody following the saga of my balls, the good news is they don’t think it’s cancer. I have highly unusual balls I’m told, where there’s about 15 small developmental cysts on each that are just chilling and have probably been there a long time (from fetal growth).
Also don’t be afraid of getting your balls checked out, I had three ultrasounds and all were painless and not embarrassing. I have a ton of funny stories too, eg the Windows ultrasound box rebooting for security updates mid scan
@GossiTheDog installing updates, please do not shut down your balls

@GossiTheDog Here's hoping everything stays benigh. And, Microsoft. lol
A lot of guys don't know that a Testicular Self-Exam (TSE) is recommended once per month

@GossiTheDog "For anybody following the saga of my balls" is an excellent opener to a conversation and I can't wait to try it out at a future dinner party.
Also a terrific band name:
Saga of My Balls.. -
@GossiTheDog I have had my balls checked out and can confirm it is not a big deal. I have discovered a minor varicocele case a while ago. Nothing to be worried about. everybody should have their balls checked out every once in a while.
Self exams are also important, but that never seems to be an issue...😎

@GossiTheDog Dang. That reminds me that I really should get this done to myself.
I hope I can remember to call my GP Monday. I'll put it in my calendar... -

@GossiTheDog This post is a public service message that might save lives. Thanks for talking about it. So glad you are fine.

@GossiTheDog I had a scan recently - all was fine - I did find it awkward
I mean - I don't like having my haircut.
Having that kind of chit chat with my bits dangling wierded me out.
But it was so so much better than lying in bed awake at 3am thinking I was going to die of ball cancer
Well worth doing

You haven’t lived til you’ve seen an ultrasound doctor do this while scanning your bollocks
@GossiTheDog excellent opportunity to say "sorry that might have been my fault, I shouldn't have reported this vulnerability yesterday"

@GossiTheDog right you are!
Mammography is a bit of pain, but ha ing your tits touched by your loved one to check if everything is ok is priceless.. i mean, painless!Prevention, prevention, prevention!

@GossiTheDog My balls are also fine, I was recently happy to learn. Hoping the hydrocele resolves on its own, if not I guess I just have one bigger, squishy ball from now on. Not uncomfortable, so it's whatever.
Thank you for helping to create a supportive environment to discuss boy parts issues.
@DragonDrop Testicular hydrocele can over time begin to ache. Relief from any discomfort can be achieved by sitting in a ‘sitz bath’, a warm shallow soak for 10-20 minutes in either plain warm water of with additives like epsom salts. From one who knows😬

@paul @GossiTheDog @blogdiva Count me among the “lots of guys.” Another thing many don’t know: *Everyone* can get the HPV vaccine.

@CharlieMcHenry Thanks! Do they usually go away on their own?

@DragonDrop not in my experience. In newborns, yes… in adults, no. So you’re likely stuck with it. Regular sitz baths are the gold standard - bathe those babies. If it becomes a problem, there are surgical interventions available. But those are for the small % that become problematic. Not an uncommon problem in males btw.

@CharlieMcHenry Thanks. I'll take it as a sign that we should consider including a jacuzzi tub in our upcoming bathroom remodel.
