@aeva they're not really meant for like. random access. but you still can basically just pull any file from the backup, with versioning as you configured it [this is the part that I found A Pain]. Backups are encrypted, so no one is training Fuck All on it. No web interface to nicely browse anything like dropbox or whatever, though, if that's a type of thing you would want.
@aeva I use Borgbase for offsite backups, was kind of a pain to setup but now that it runs, it runs, and I'm pretty much happy with it. I'm on the 1TB for 80USD / year plan, which as far as I am concerned is a decent price, may have to switch to the next tier up at some point this year as my data needs grow but
is there an inexpensive service where I can 1) pay them money to 2) store files 3) privately 4) with a firm guarantee that they will not use them to train "models"?
I usually put my projects in some kind of free revision control system as a cheap form of offsite backup, but I'm at a loss of what to do with all my blend files and images

Been working on a texture pack for Luanti lately and having a lot of fun with it. It's a lot of work, but I like the way it's turning out! This one is based on the LoSpec 500 palette, and I'm aiming for a non-realism style that apes Minecraft and some of the original Voxelibre designs, but doesn't outright copy either.#Luanti #Minetest #VoxelLibre #texturepack #PixelArt #LoSpec #PixelArtist
Re-introduction time! Hello fediverse, I am Nina! I'm mainly a pixel artist, but have been doing some web dev work for most of the last year.I do everything, but enjoy character work and icon work the most. My job has me posting much less public art at the moment, so my account is a lot of rambles, but that's just how it is!You can find my current commission status at https://misnina.com#Introduction #PixelArt #MastoArt
