I was a fan, but I got tired of Apple's dictatorial bullcrap, the inherently proprietary nature of the ecosystem, and the consistently high prices.

I was already out when the iOS devices were announced. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw those price tags.

@tofugolem one benefit I'll give to using Macintosh is it prepared me to use Linux. Most people that are still in the windows ecosystem seem to be afraid to leave it. I have now left both.
