Wikimedia Italia, right now, abolished the technical committee of which I am a member.
Well, WMIT abolished nearly all committees! Because it is inconvenient for them to involve a committee 7 days before a decision (?)
Example: when the board wants to destroy all BigBlueButton backups.. no need to share the news to technicians 7 days before!
What could go wrong.

@esplovago I know only what appeared on the mailing list of Wikimedia Italia, where they say that the loss of the backups was a mishap.
As for committees, the management reshuffled the internal boards. For example, in this moment I am participating at the kickoff meeting of the Advocacy & Communication group

Sadly, not the actual BTC. Hoping that he may still join the Fediverse though - and still appreciate his content elsewhere.

A me sembra ovvio che l'improvvisa chiusura del CIA World Factbook non è una questione di soldi. I dati quelli della CIA devono continuare a cercarli, e il sito lo potevano gestire tre stagisti in croce. Molto banalmente, per l'amministrazione Trump i fatti sono solo delle scocciature: e visto che non è così semplice modificare i giornali del passato ha fatto in modo di scegliere la via più semplice, cancellandoli e stop.
