Hi pfefferle@mastodon.social, I was just curious why activitypub.blog@activitypub.blog was a user and not a group on NodeBB, so I checked out its AP representation on BrowserStack.
This stood out:
... "generator": { "type": "Application", "implements": { "href": "https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc9421", "name": "RFC-9421: HTTP Message Signatures" } }, ...I thought "how would you be able to represent multiple implementations if implements is an object?
It looks like it is supposed to be an array, according to FEP 844e.
As an aside, I guess not all WP actors are groups? I feel like we've had this conversation before though hehe.

@squirrelbaffler it occurred to me that this is one of those situations where one would probably normally use a library, but the problem is I need to prioritize speed over accuracy because it's repeatedly invoked in a real time audio thread, a use case which i'd not expect to be shared by serious scientific or industrial use cases

balu hey, sorry for the delay, can you post a cURL call to the /api/config endpoint with the cookie?
I know you posted a code sample (via DM) but the reason I ask for a cURL call is that it is the most straightforward way to test the call and often eliminates errors in header values, etc.

Despite everything that has happened since, I still think the two blogposts I wrote about Bluesky/ATProto and decentralization have held up quite well. The big difference is that some other participants in the ecosystem are coming online, which is good (Blacksky's efforts in particular).
I do think that we *are* seeing the beginnings of some of the technical concerns laid out in my posts, but maybe it's best to let things just play out more so the problems can better highlight themselves
