The finale of The Barber of Seville!
-
not the tenor aria from Luisa Miller (the opera that's special to her cuz that's how she met ~Pavarotti~) but this aria is sung by the father of the character she played and the message is basically "don't tell people what to do let them do their own thing" so if I can just tighten my performance up a bit it's sure to be a winner for both sitting nicely in my tessitura and being Esperian rage bait
I read an interview with Esperian in which she says Tosca is her favorite character because Tosca is just like her. "I am Tosca!" she concludes. so after pissing her off by camping out on Luisa Miller, obviously next I have to do the aria of the character that tortures Tosca

Esperian in an interview: "His voice is in my head all the time. I think, 'What would Luciano tell me?'"
"Why should be elite, music? Excuse me. Music must be for everybody." - Luciano Pavarotti
