#activitypub #askfediverseFollowing on that. I tested https://bandwagon.fm/ which seemed very close to what I had in mind for a Bandcamp but on the fediverse. The interface is nice, and the general feeling is good, I looove the custom CSS field, I also can subscribe from and to mastodon, from and to bandwagon. Unfortunately, nothing appears in my mastodon timeline when I am a follower, no track, no album. I wonder if it due to my instance @benpate
I also quickly tested Funkwhale https://www.funkwhale.audio/ as lots of comments mentioned that one too, but both the website (broken?) and the app are hard to decipher. Is that an app for musicians, for hosting personal music libraries, or both? I guess it depends on pods, but I find this confusing enough to stop artists in the account creation process. I may continue posting on that topic. Tell me what you think, especially if you use those apps. -

Yes. This is it, exactly. It’s a mastodon issue that’s out of our control. But, now that you’re following your Bandwagon profile, try creating one more thing — like an event or a note — and it should show up in Mastodon right away :)
If you have other things that you need, or would be helpful to other artists, please let me know. I’m doing most of “the typing” but this project is designed by the community.

I love it! I also believe in the power of the alternatives and collaboration, the more open alternatives the merrier.
I would also need a very specific activitypub integration to allow to among other things show badges. As far as I understand Linkstack does not have an activitypub implementation? Maybe I am wrong.
I also love PHP, but I wanted to host it in other stack, so that is why to build the alternative.

I’m building a new tool and looking for volunteers to test it! A #fediverse linktree.
It’s designed for two types of people:
Normies / newcomers – Think of it like a free, privacy-respecting Linktree. No trackers, no ads. But here's the cool par: it's a Trojan horse for the fediverse. Your profile link is itself an ActivityPub actor. That means people can interact with it directly in the fediverse, and it encourages exploration of open platforms.
Fediverse users, If you have multiple accounts (#Mastodon, #Pixelfed, Loops, a federated blog…), you know the struggle: sometimes you just want one persona to follow. This tool gives you that. It doesn’t post on its own (read-only), but it boosts all your other accounts and even has its own #ActivityPub inbox. PLUS it can receive and show your badges issued by @badgefed !

@raphael @mariusor @steve @evan Your example is incorrect because activity types are not like HTTP verbs. Like and EmojiReact are part of the same protocol, both are widely used in Fediverse. Not sure what is the point of twisting the meaning of words to make limitations of certain software appear as non-limitations.
