    S-s-sì. Un back-to-the-root.

Ma se sarà, sarà evidentemente forzato - e quindi tossico, anziché spontaneo - e quindi virtuoso.

La solita storia di fare per paura anziché per scelta razionale.

    Boh.

  • Il regime iraniano attacca hotel a Dubai (Burj Al Arab hotel) e in Bahrein. Hotel. E aeroporti.

Con gli Shahed, gli stessi droni che attaccano i palazzi civili ucraini. Stessi criminali e stessi droni

  • @Gina my personal response is don’t be afraid of spending money. Of course be responsible and budget, but not doing something you want to do (campervanning) just because you might spend savings is a mistake. You can try a low risk version. Rent a van instead of buying one, take a week long trip somewhere to see if you like it, do experiments, and going for longer trips if you and your cats end up enjoying it. I wish i could go over to europe for a longer stay.

Prima eetcultuur (toeristische restaurants mijden). Strand, zee, zon.

Mijn puberkids waren erg enthousiast (en ik ook wel). Ook vanwege het winkelaanbod.

I agree with your point, and it is righteous in many ways.

What I do not understand is why you make it as "dependent" on the AI topic: it could be said the same for any other (more or less) controversial technology or technology provider.

Have you experienced a negative reaction for using AI tools? How did you handle it?

I agree that AI is more popular than others and that it is easier to find people who are marginalised for using it, but the same could be said for Crypto, NFT and any other fascism-as-a-service offering users. They also deserve to be given voice and not being marginalised.

  • @Gina addendum: are you looking into staying in Europe or far off places are being evaluated too? A dear Canadian friend who's an entrepreneur has gone many times to Aruba (in the Caribbeans) and she LOVED it. The official language is Dutch... just putting that out there...

@CathyBikesBook OK, I suspect that field should just be the actual link to your profile https://mstdn.plus/@CathyBikesBook and then there should be a way to set the link properties/attributes (maybe as Advanced options?) where you can specify "me" as the value for the rel attribute (might be called "link rel" under the Advanced menu)

@pompeian welcome!! I wished there'd be more fandom here! I found a little star trek corner but nothing compared to tumblr fandoms or the good old ancient twitter fandom. Although I do suspect there're many fandom people on here by now who think they're alone between the tech and photography nerds. But proper fandom squee and shipping doesn't seem to exist here. Which is sad. What's your fandoms?

Your annual Flowers-builds-saunas check-in from the haunted north!Business was slow this year, so my partner and I spent spring and summer salvaging materials to build our own DIY sauna in the garden, cheap and fancy. The autumn season was completely taken up by the build. We finished it mere days before the polar vortex arrived. Couldn't be happier to have our very own healing space to use and share in these dire times. Can this be my Mastodon #introduction since I never did one of those?
