So I guess it's time for an #introduction. Well, I'm a 30 something #Black #queer woman. I love to read #books. I love the #NYKnicks. I like #bicycles even though, it's not my primary mode of transportation. I like refurbishing and upgrading old electronics, specifically #iPods and #laptops. #TV and music have kept me going more than anything else. I'm branching into #Linux and getting more familiar with #FOSS. I am a #blogger and I have linked my blog in my bio.

@CathyBikesBook OK, I suspect that field should just be the actual link to your profile https://mstdn.plus/@CathyBikesBook and then there should be a way to set the link properties/attributes (maybe as Advanced options?) where you can specify "me" as the value for the rel attribute (might be called "link rel" under the Advanced menu)

@informapirata @fediverso Certo che ce n'è bisogno, soprattutto per le persone che sono chiuse nei social commerciali. Io l'ho scritto prima rispondendo ad altro thread: chi è estraneo al fediverso non ne ha la minima idea. Chiamarlo già col suo nome, li mette in difficoltà estrema; spiegare il concetto di federazione, decentralizzazione, istanze, ma più che altro far capire ai "poco tecnici" quali vantaggi possono trovare in un sistema che, descritto così nudo e crudo, appare enormemente frammentato.

@oblomov me too. Even when used in good faith, I can’t help but having the feeling of someone redirecting a conversation based on their own biases. I don’t know, I remember back in the day on Twitter as well when they introduced quote tweets they completely ruined the vibe for me. I just don’t like them.
