Kinda sticking to the whole "no attainted lineage" angle, we're all stuck with the legacy of monstrous cruelty. If we choose to unite in fighting it - not our fault, being born in this time, but being born in this time our responsibility nonetheless - we might finally overthrow their inherited rule.

We did some pretty awful shit all across Eurasia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia-the-continent as a species amongst ourselves before Europe was on the map all that much, let alone showed up to claim all the credit and resources. One or two diseases going differently or different weather might have led to it elsewhere and then Europe would have been "those barbarians who had to be settled." We-of-European-stock aren't that exceptional, good or ill.

@fkamiah17 They have to be found, identified and their entire families hounded out of every shop, premises and public space in the USA as long as they live: and those two should be in jail for murder. Same for that thing that shot Renee Good. There’s a third one somewhere who killed a black man too: a case that gets very little mention.
@HarriettMB @fkamiah17 Good was murdered by Jonathan Ross, an ICE goon of 10years and a vet before that. No lack of training. Just a cold-blooded killer. I heard that both of the goons who murdered Pretti have been with ICE for several years - not exactly confirmed info, unlike Ross.

@fkamiah17 @R4D10_411310p47HY @HarriettMB I sometimes get the impression (though I haven’t lived there I do live within a day’s drive of there, my family line passed through there, etc.) that New France since joining the United States has combined the Catholic appetite for almost operatic punishment (originally penance, which is meant to redeem and purify) with some of the worst cultural tendencies of Calvinism, as seen nationwide in our commitment to an anti-elect of untouchables. So once there’s a demonstration of “fallen” status, people are irredeemable (because they clearly aren’t “elect”), and must be punished with every indignity *in perpetuity.*

@scottjenson It's a meme making fun of right wing nostalgia. The original had dark conspiratorial overtones -- a spooky unnamed "they" -- but the mocking memes are more silly, with old videogame screenshots or 70s tv commercials for appliances. I saw at least one white supremacist video by searching for the phrase on X, though, so I guess it's still used by right wing creeps, too.
