@bkuhn it's interesting that this is the term. I actually think there's some merit to calling it "The War Between the States". I can't think of another "civil war" where the belligerents were divided on pre-war subnational units. The English Civil War, Spanish Civil War, Chinese Civil War and Russian Civil War were all between political factions, sometimes more than two, intermingled throughout the country. Association with a particular territory was mostly temporary based on military conquest.
@evan that dwarf holiday in the moralizing religion belt? I remember growing up they had TV shows about it. My observational probes have moved on, but it seems others retain an emotional attachment.
@voltagex I don't know how to do anything with `cargo` or Rust, really. I'm just using the Slint library with a C++ app (a pretty small one, at that) and it's absurdly large (the release binary isn't bad...16M or somewhat bigger with the Skia renderer if I want it to look at all decent).
