@sundogplanets With the lack of scale reference I am forced to assume this is a huge river monster, the likes of which I was genuinely kind-of afraid of every time I was near a stream as a kid 😂 I think there was a children's show or something about a boy catching an enormous, monstrous eel 🤔

@jwcph @sundogplanets Biggest eel I encountered was in 1976 and circa. 5 feet long. I was 15. We caught it after it bit me on the calf crossing a stagnant section of river in Kerikeri, NZ. We took a photo of it with its head cut off and held level with my eyes and its tail an inch or so off the ground. Still have the scar. 😖

@sundogplanets There’s one in the stream at my brother’s property on North Island. It comes to them when they visit the stream, and they feed it. They call it Ne’elon after Elon Musk. 😂
