@eniko Traffic Department 2192. Just a simple top-down shooter but I remember the writing and dialogue in the cutscenes being amazing. Lt Velasquez is badass.

y'all got some weird notions about what constitutes chill
@eniko oops I had completely missed the «chill» indicator. Then Stratego is the only thing I can think of, but that's just the boardgame, in computer form 8-D

@eniko Chill is a thing that varies a lot from person to person when it comes to games though. It can definitely be pretty tricky...
Nostalgia also probably plays a part given the nature of the discussion.

@eniko not sure if this is DOS-y enough, but DOSBox runs Windows 3.11 quite well, which is a good platform for the classic Microsoft Entertainment Packs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Entertainment_Pack).

@eniko here are a couple of really chill entries. Not necessarily hidden gems or anything though
I don't see The Incredible Machine recommended here yet. https://www.myabandonware.com/game/the-incredible-machine-1mg
One of my favourite chill DOS games as a kid was this Disney Jigsaw puzzle: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/mickey-s-jigsaw-puzzles-3zo
I loved printing out the pictures on our home dot matrix printer.

@eniko I remember really liking Stunt Island back in the day. Chill in the sense that you can set up your own stunts and there’s no real time pressure AFAIR
