Erm, what?When we're anywhere else in the world, and people ask where we're from, we say Montreal, and they say, "oh, Montreal!" When we're in Montreal, people ask where we're from, and look very confused if we answer that we're from here. It doesn't matter how many years we've lived here. We'll never be considered "from" here. But I don't care, it's what I've started saying anyway.

Not the same thing as you as we were not born in Canada, but after almost 25 years it’s exhausting, and I’m polite. 🙃
Never happened in Ontario. 🤷♀️
