Every morning, I open the only proactive moderation tool available to #MastoAdmin folks, and every morning, I wish we had better tools.
The fact these accounts all use the username "J" and yet there is no way to search for that and only that? It's infuriating how little the leaders of this project care for the people keeping our servers online.
These problems are getting worse every month. Queer instance admins are growing especially exhausted. GIVE US TOOLS THAT WORK!

@acor3 a me sinceramente piace di più un podcast biascitato, con erori, balbettii o comunque imperfetto che questo sintetico. Anzi questo mi irrita proprio. poi per carità in futuro riusciranno a farlo più naturale però sentire la vera voce di una persona è tuttaltra cosa ;)

Think of the old tv media player, or the old nas, with outdated interfaces
For web services like mastodon, nextcloud or whatever -> nginx
For stuff using other port, no issues.
For stuff that you want to be reachable just from you, a nice openvpn or wireguard and you are home.

@richardh Yes, but monochrome so the color can be changed easily and mostly for recognizable brands. See for example the quicksy.im website with its links to YouTube, Google Play or my slides with links to my website and to my Mastodon.

The best way I'd describe Pangolin is self-hosted Cloudflare Tunnels. You need to point two DNS entries on your domain to it (pangolin and *), and it will use wireguard tunnels to make any other subdomain available to your machines.
A reverse proxy might be a bit easier to handle, especially if you already have experience with it.
