    How about an #Introduction again, since I havenā€™t been very active here and Iā€™m thinking of being more active. And yes, itā€™s in part because of #Bluesky, the CEO, and their shit content moderation. Iā€™m not leaving there yet. I would like to try another instance, though it looks like that may be pointless if Jay can get mad at you and delete you from all instances.But I digressā€¦ an intro:Iā€™m an #author #writing a book series called Mercedes Masterson Detective Stories, but also other novels and short stories as well. I have the first three in the series out now. The first two are free currently from my newsletter site (in the library). The series is noir/thriller and with some horror sometimes and deals in themes such as corruption, friendship, and #LGBTQ issues (Mercedes is a closested #bisexual woman). Iā€™m also a trained method actor (the non-annoying kind) and recently starred in a short film that garnered 4 nominations including Best Film. I used to do a lot of indie filmmaking back in the early 2000s. I love movies and especially #horror. Iā€™m currently enrolled at SNHU and in my last year of school. Itā€™s looking like I may wrap up my bachelorā€™s degree in the spring of 2026. Iā€™m an English major and do enjoy #editing and am considering it as a career afterwards. Iā€™m rounding off my degree with courses on #journalism. I write and edit a #newsletter called Weaverā€™s Deep Thoughts which has ā€œdeep thoughtsā€ on a variety of topics as well as free #ShortStories and #poetry by a diverse group of writers. Itā€™s slowly growing and submissions are currently open. Iā€™m currently rolling out a serialized story called ā€œThe Bride of Usherā€ for #Halloween which is a sci-fi/horror blend of ā€œFrankensteinā€ and ā€œThe Fall of the House of Usher.ā€ New installments are dropping every Friday this month. I suppose it's for the readers to say what's special about the story, not me. But I'm *hoping* people are enjoying it. I've gotten a lot of great feedback so far, and it's only just started. I wanted to work on something a bit spooky for my readers. Here you go: In the gloomy streets of Victorian London, a vampire is moonlighting as a vigilante. They seem to be protecting the innocent and punishing the corrupt under the cover of night. But why, and what is it all for?This is a story of two vampires, former lovers, and the one that was sired. Welcome in Lord Alistair MacKay, the sole owner of Dorcha Castle and a writer and artist in his spare time, his former lover who goes by the name of Fenella, and the one and only man Alistair ever turned, Duncan. The latter is ruthless, and so they bid him farewell a half-century ago, but heā€™s decided to return.
