Something I am not comfortable with yet: the friction between
1) bring your phone to the protest so you can record abuses by the regime
2) leave your phone at home because the regime can use the data trail to scoop you up later
I think maybe I'm going to bring several pens and a stack of 3x5 cards to the next protest for people that want to exchange information in sensible ways. Last thing I went to, people on FB were trying to connect with those who weren't, Signal vs. non-Signal, etc.

Really, I suppose the answer is get a dedicated camera that does not connect to the internet (or at least can be turned on/off) and bring that rather than a phone. AND paper. 2/2

@Tutanota, your visual info representation is easy to process and generally very useful but sometimes it lacks consistency, leaving you to wonder what was wrong with options left out

@grep_harder cosa c'entra questo con il referendum? Nulla. Impossibile dialogare in questo modo. Il fatto che il nostro sistrma giudiziario abbia problemi non implica matematicamente che sia legittimo stuprare e deformare la Costituzione, anche se questo era il progetto di Berlusconi.

@G3rt e voglio anche precisare che, sempre in uno Stato civile, criminali pregiudicati non passeggiano per le strade liberi di compiere ulteriori atti criminali ai danni dei cittadini. Come quel criminale che ha stuprato e ucciso quella povera ragazza di Milano, che in tasca aveva l'ennesimo inutile "foglio di via" per violenza sessuale...

@u_urban @Tutanota, I guess in this specific case the confusion may come from a mismatch in Mastodon posts & actual blog posting times.
On Mastodon, this mail comparison image was posted an hour ago (2026-01-31) but the blog post was on 2026-01-27.
DeGoogle image (where Mailbox.org was mentioned) was posted on 2026-01-25 while the blog post was published on 2026-01-28. I'm actually lost how it's even possible
perhaps the blog post was edited
