After a 5½ hour drive to Tarbet the Gods were on my side for once. I came down with a whole scallop vessel monitoring system. Which comprises of 1 x PC with POE switch two IP cameras for watching the dredges port and starboard and a GPS antenna along with GSM antenna.oh and a drum of cat5 too. You know what was wrong as I had visions of having to replace everything? It was just a BIOS battery ! I couldn't believe my luck. Now everything is working so the Scottish government can monitor them remotely once again and I'm away to do that 5½ drive back home.

@bryan thank you Bryan. The backup size issue isn't about costs... I have zero extra expenses. It's just that I would like to keep backup sizes relatively small in case I need to do a restore.
AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud and Cloudflare are all American companies... I want to keep my tech stack European.
I'm very very happy with Hetzner, Hostinger, BunnyCDN and Varnish Cache 🤗

Il tramonto è qualcosa di magico, sempre: è il momento che sancisce che quel che è stato è stato, ma domani ci sarà un'altra opportunità.
Osservarlo a Valle Gran Rey, a La Gomera, è così bello che ogni sera si radunano tante persone che si schierano sulla spiaggia per ammirarlo, come se fosse uno spettacolo. Ma in effetti lo è.
