I’ve seen too many panic-stricken teachers chopping away without any regard for safety. Somehow, everyone survived, but it always made me nervous.

I should perhaps mention that I was using a very safe one. Not a blade that comes down with force, but one with a small rotary blade, and guards to keep out anything bigger than paper.
