@medwaves If you like trivia and British accents, I highly recommend Answer Me This and the myriad pods that its creators have made since. The Allusionist, for instance, is very brainy and fun.
For audio fiction, check our Lauren Shippen's Attpical Artists production. She has some straight ahead sci-fi kinda stuff but also other projects that really play with the format. I've enjoyed Breaker Whiskey for years.

@elainelalanne @medwaves I'm convinced Heavyweight is the greatest podcast that will ever exist. But if you're a movie person, What Went Wrong is very good. My 13 year old daughter loves the episodes of Cautionary Tales where there's a lot of death, so maybe get in on that as well?

@medwaves You MUST try the Omnibus Podcast! Start with one from a few years ago and then come into Omnibus 2.0 that has come into being more recently. (They're Dollop-like I prefer the sultry voices and musings of Ken Jennings and John Roderick to those Dollop kiddos.)

L’ invio di soldati europei in Groenlandia non è una “barzelletta”, come sostiene Crosetto. È un segnale serio della volontà di non farsi calpestare dall’ imposizione degli interessi USA. Irridere questo tentativo, certamente fragile e inadeguato, significa avere scelto di puntare, come Italia, a raccattare le briciole della spartizione invece di giocare un ruolo come Unione Europea.

Moxie Marlinspike, l’ingegnere dietro Signal, sta testando un nuovo progetto: Confer, un assistente basato su intelligenza artificiale con crittografia end-to-end. L’idea è quella di applicare agli LLM lo stesso approccio che ha reso Signal un riferimento per la messaggistica privata.
Confer si basa su due elementi principali: le passkey, che oltre all’autenticazione permettono di derivare le chiavi crittografiche (conservate solo sul dispositivo), e un ambiente di esecuzione fidato (TEE) lato server, dove i dati vengono elaborati in forma cifrata senza che nemmeno gli amministratori possano accedervi.
Perché serve un’alternativaCome riporta Ars Technica, lo scorso maggio un tribunale ha ordinato a OpenAI di conservare tutti i log delle conversazioni su ChatGPT, incluse quelle cancellate. Sam Altman stesso d’altronde ha ammesso che neppure le sessioni di psicoterapia sulla piattaforma possono considerarsi davvero private. Marlinspike descrive l’uso attuale dell’IA come “confessarsi in un lago di dati”: gli utenti tendono a trattare questi assistenti come confidenti, condividendo pensieri, paure e informazioni sensibili.
Esistono anche altre soluzioni orientate alla privacy, come Lumo di , che cifra le conversazioni a riposo con lo stesso sistema di Proton Mail (anche se l’LLM elabora i messaggi in chiaro prima di “dimenticarli”). L’approccio di Confer con i TEE è tecnicamente diverso e, almeno sulla carta, più robusto.
Tra le alternative c’è anche Venice, che adotta un approccio più radicale: non conserva nulla sui propri server, salvando le conversazioni esclusivamente nel browser dell’utente. Il limite? La GPU che elabora le richieste vede comunque i prompt in chiaro d ci si deve fidare che non vengano loggati.
Confer è attualmente in fase di test ed è accessibile via browser (le passkey per l’autenticazione funzionano nativamente su macOS, iOS e Android, mentre su Windows e Linux serve qualche passaggio in più).
