The broadcaster said some 75 detainees were currently being held at the underground prison.
“Even the small window in the ward has been sealed off for the detainees,” it added.
Describing the conditions in the underground prison as harsh, KAN said detainees there are shackled and confined to their cells for 23 hours a day.“They are allowed only one brief opportunity per day to step into a small, enclosed yard,” it added. “Even this small yard is completely closed and the sunlight can’t reach it, and detainees are allowed to go out into it once a day.”

An Israeli reserve soldier has exposed shocking abuses at the Sde Teiman detention camp in the Negev desert, describing it as a “sadistic torture site” where dozens of Palestinian detainees from Gaza died under brutal conditions.
The soldier described Sde Teiman as a place where “people enter alive and leave in body bags.” He said the death of detainees was no longer surprising. “The real surprise,” he added, “is if someone survives.”
He stated that Israeli authorities oversee systematic abuse. According to his account, #Palestinian detainees suffered starvation, untreated war wounds, and denial of basic hygiene needs. “Some urinated and defecated on themselves because they weren’t allowed to use the bathroom,” he said.
At least 36 Palestinian detainees have been killed under torture in #Sdeteiman since the start of Israel’s #genocide in #Gaza.

An Israeli reserve soldier has exposed shocking abuses at the Sde Teiman detention camp in the Negev desert, describing it as a “sadistic torture site” where dozens of Palestinian detainees from Gaza died under brutal conditions.
The soldier described Sde Teiman as a place where “people enter alive and leave in body bags.” He said the death of detainees was no longer surprising. “The real surprise,” he added, “is if someone survives.”
He stated that Israeli authorities oversee systematic abuse. According to his account, #Palestinian detainees suffered starvation, untreated war wounds, and denial of basic hygiene needs. “Some urinated and defecated on themselves because they weren’t allowed to use the bathroom,” he said.
At least 36 Palestinian detainees have been killed under torture in #Sdeteiman since the start of Israel’s #genocide in #Gaza.
Despite this, Israel’s Supreme Court rejected a petition to close the camp in September, saying the government was “obligated to respect the law” inside the facility.

It isn't the first time I see something like this. If the VM has higher CPU or Disk or Network usage, providers throttle it. ZFS send is extremely slow and loading the system, even if the disk activity is low.
I'll try and see, then contact the provider.

@stefano sometimes VM providers migrate them between metals. This can upset things. Do a full power-off and start the VM afresh from the control panel and see if that helps first.
