@Edent Lovely winter beer, that.
-
@rimu pretty sure it snows in Iran during winter. Not everywhere, but certainly enough places to sustain a skiing industry.
-

@licho I think it is a 4 - but they're basically the same as far as I can tell.

@Edent I bought one recently to use as a passive display for #HomeAssistant but I reached the same stage as you, jailbroken but nothing more.
I'll get there in the end!
-
@Edent I'm so used to iPhone (and iPod) jailbreaks, so it surprises me to see this on a Kindle!
-
@Edent I recently got a PocketBook Verse, which has a microSD slot, no ads and works just fine with DRM-stripped ebooks and PDFs. Only to realize I actually prefer LCDs and OLEDs to e-ink.

@Edent I added this when you wrote about it last time.
You can change the .html to .txt on all of my article links: https://derickrethans.nl/php-500.html / https://derickrethans.nl/php-500.txt

@awfulwoman I had a play with TRMNL last year and was a bit unconvinced by it.
But, anyway, this Kindle is too old to run anything like that.

@Edent yeah, still need to evaluate it myself. It’s on the endless list of tasks.
-
@Edent That sounds like a good workaround.
-
@Edent oh this is quite interesting. As this is one of my main frustration with the PHP docs at the moment.
I usually try to get people to not write any comments in the code block and have them show the output and add a paragraph if needed. As I don't really expect our translators to translate the examples (although some do which leads to inconsistencies)

@awfulwoman @Edent either of you played with the Inky Frame(s) at all? I want something like this too :D

@awfulwoman @Edent If politics factor into your purchasing decisions, you may consider investigating the TRMNL bro’s social media habits.
