@mcc@mastodon.social I try to follow the typographical conventions: no spaces around an emdash. However, when writing Dutch, the convention is spaces around an endash. Fun with typography!

@wyatt @mcc but, funny thing, the X.org variant of that file is buggy because they tried to add too much (I’m not entirely caught up with their later features, but reasonably so, and I’d rather use this version for the bugfixes; they broke several things by trying to make it symmetric, by trying to say “if Compose+a+b does it, then Compose+A+B and Compose+A+b and Compose+a+B and Compose+b+a and (etc.) should also do it”, which they never were (e.g. Compose+c+$foo adds a haček to $foo, but definitely not the other way round).)

@wyatt @mcc couple of weeks, but this weekend has hazel on level 3/3, and for the first time this year, which is always the hardest. If I don’t get a suprainfection I’ll be fine-ish. Trying some new medication, which seems to work better (but more side effects due to more total medication, but I hope I can scale down another one now).

@mcc I use endashes and put spaces around that semi-frequently – like this – but no spaces for emdash
