@molly0xfff Woah!
Though I must admit you lost me at cuff down travelling stitch something. :-)Do you need self-sealing stem bolts to knit those? ;-)

No, but a few cable needles would make it easier. -

Nice sock. Interesting cables. Kudos to the person who deconstructed the pattern. -

@molly0xfff idk the first thing about #knitting or #crochet, but the people who do these crafts seem very fun-spirited. So, I share this reminder that the U.S. National Park Service has patterns for a goat, a cactus, fish, triops, a beaver, and more. https://www.nps.gov/search/?query=Crochet&sitelimit=&affiliate=nps

@molly0xfff This is hilarious, and I am definitely at least partially the target audience (would be 100% if they were crocheted socks lol). I did get some knitting needles a couple months back but haven't given it a go yet 🤷

@aleciabatson @molly0xfff Crochet is super fun and surprisingly easy to get started. Highly recommend the activity! All you need to learn is the single stitch, plus how to go in the round (look up "magic circle" and you'll be off to the races), and you'll be crocheting plushy cacti in no time!
Knitting on the other hand? No idea. Too intimidated to try lol
-
@jgrg @molly0xfff I feel like this pattern has promise for #cat owners. Include a pocket or pouch in the belly or gills where one could place cat treats or catnip.

@gordoooo_z @molly0xfff okay! Ill consider crochet. 🧶

@jgrg @aleciabatson @molly0xfff Their lava column pattern makes a great cactus! (I improvised the flowers.)

@aleciabatson @molly0xfff Woah, I've never felt such power to mold minds! I'll try not to let it consume me :p
In all seriousness though, I hope you enjoy it! It's a pleasant diversion. If you're anything like me and prefer improvising over following a recipe, then you'll appreciate how intuitive it is once you get the basics down to just play it by ear and make what you see in your head.
