    @karlauerbach @drahardja I mean, who tf knows with the current court and their absolute contempt for precedent, but imo as someone who has had to teach media law, that would really be a stretch. It should take more than getting paid for providing publishing tools, Substack would have to exercise editorial control. You could argue their bad behavior is actually evidence they don’t.

Several groups of people "massively" blocked roads on highways, federal roads, and state roads, a police spokesperson said. In #Giessen itself, a bus was blocking a roundabout, a police spokesperson said. She described the situation as ‘active with many different locations’ in the city…Throughout the day, around 50,000 people are expected to take to the streets in Giessen to protest against the #AfD (Alternative for Germany). Approximately 30 demonstrations, rallies, and vigils have been registered. Organizers include the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), the Left Party, Attac, the Young Socialists (Jusos), and Grandmothers Against the Right. Up to 6,000 police officers from across Germany are on standby…The ‘Resistance’ alliance announced that they would stand shoulder to shoulder in the cold, blocking the way to the hall.     Today in Labor History November 27, 1898: Maria Vetulani was born. She was a soldier in Poland’s war for independence, the Polish-Ukrainian war, and in World War II, as well as a fierce opponent of fascism. In 1918, she fought in the defense of Lvov against the Ukrainian occupation. She had to disguise herself as a man, because women weren’t allowed in combat then. In the 1920s, she became a socialist and married the communist Bohdan de Nisau, who was later imprisoned, tortured and murdered under Stalin. She fled the USSR and moved to Warsaw, where she helped hide Jews from the Nazis. In 1944 she participated in the Warsaw Uprising, where she was wounded. The Nazis killed her in her hospital bed.
