@royaards sadly so true, but I am most worried about is the environment. Oil spills, fires and who knows what chemicals they use.

@royaards@newsie.social It does make sense for how our small community-geared (as in "small communities, not "small and also communities") brains work. X amount of deaths in a far-off country we are powerless to do anything about doesn't move the needle because it's too abstract. Prices that we pay though, that's immediate and does affect how we react.
It is horrible, we need to do more but there's learned helplessness, fear of retribution should you try to fight back and good ol' "I'm alright, Jack" logic among other things, it's not making excuses but highlighting the things we need to overcome.

@Vitalba dalle bbufale in circolazione concludo che questo referendum sarà uno sfogatoio di giustizialismo classista, che vuole mandare in galera a vita i ladri di polli e dare licenza di uccidere e abusare di minorenni ai potenti nostrani e stranieri, da Al Masri a Netanyahu. Dall'altra parte, chi difende la costituzione e le sue architetture di poteri e contropoteri, e chi si ostina ancora a credere nella legge uguale per tutti e non pilotata da alcuni. Terrò il fiato sospeso fino alla fine.
