People do stuff wrong all the time! Mostly it’s fine. The world keeps on turning, you know?
If the particular way they are doing it wrong offends you so much that you can’t do nothing, consider the massively under-appreciated alternative of leading by example

People do stuff wrong all the time! Mostly it’s fine. The world keeps on turning, you know?

@jalefkowit Yess....when I fully turned to mastodon (a couple of years ago) I was baffled by the amount of "that" i got. use hashtag! put alt text! don't reply to anyone thread unless they want you to do so as you would "disrupt the bookkeeping of their mental processes" (I hope I did not just did that to you!) etc....
I mean, a hell of a lot better than getting random replies by nazi, musk-bros or aggressive "retired engineers" with a new theory of cosmology as on twitter, but still....

@richlv I cannot even fully recall...I commented on someone's public thread. I got an angry private message asking me to remove it, because that public thread was not meant to be open to discussion, but it was some sort of personal diary to book keep that person's mental processes...the person even wrote a blog post to denounce my micro aggression daring to interact with his open public thread... I was just 😱 , and that was a few weeks after joining mastodon

Cmq io mi riferivo agli anni 90, quando in qualche modo le due parti provarono a cercare dei possibili compromessi, di convivenza.
Dobbiamo per forza sperare che arrivino oggi a possibili compromessi di convivenza, adiacente. L'alternativa è lo sterminio di uno dei 2 popoli, che credo nessuno di noi auspichi.

“Chat Control” è il nome di una proposta di regolamento dell’#UE per il contrasto degli abusi sessuali su minori (#CSAM). Obbliga i fornitori di servizi digitali di “rilevare” contenuti sospetti nelle comunicazioni private.
Il testo proposto include l’obbligo di scansione preventiva, anche per comunicazioni cifrate (end-to-end), mediante tecnologie “client-side scanning”: cioè il contenuto verrebbe analizzato prima che sia cifrato e inviato.
