Especially as some were published (and pirated from) both the USA and UK, but only the US-library-of-congress-registered editions will pay out.

I mean, if I get paid per the agreed settlement for JUST ONE BOOK it will make up for the lost day or two of work, but it's not exactly an instant dopamine hit and I *HATE* spreadsheets ...

@lina @evan Could try to fork Linux, but man that's a huge job, and since all the money is on the side of LLMs there won't be much financing for such an effort.
But I'm not sure it's harder than getting a new kernel to the same level of hardware support etc. as Linux. (Many lower-resourced alternate OSes seem to run great in virtual machines but aren't really functional on bare metal, so I think hardware support may be the hardest part.)
