@davidrevoy @bit, hah. Been there twice, done that twiceโฆ and the third time, the cause of the random crashes was an old, sufficiently degraded PSU.
I think that it's safe to say that you will run memtest much sooner next time.
(Incidentally, I have a terminal window in which I'm running โdmesg -Twโ. It's occasionally VERY useful.)

@davidrevoy this is a bad analogy, the datacenters these companies are hoarding all of this RAM for haven't even been built yet
At least the Avian Intelligences are already actually made, even if they're going to just end up a total waste
