Damn that's Carl Hewitt and Tony Hoare both gone. I know Gul Agha really did a lot of work to clean up actors to make them make sense, but that's the two predominent paradigms of asynchronous programming gone

What sucks most to me about these posts is their contributions are being overshadowed (to say the least) by abstraction, modules, libraries, and now artificial idiocy.
