@shansterable When I post on platforms that have a character limit like Bsky or Mastodon, I typically put the description of whatever I'm posting in the alt text to get around that character limit, or for platforms like Pixelfed, to not make my posts massive.On platforms like Friendica however that are friendlier to long posts, I'll typically put the full description in the main text body and then a cliffnotes version in the alt text if it's a single-image post.
