I may have bitten off a little more than my 35lbs power hammer can handle.This took about 90 minutes to draw 8" of the round down to 24" of 1". Though the second half went much better when I remembered I have drawing dies for my 75lbs striking hammer. But that's still way too much effort, so next will be to find someone local with a bigger hammer.#blacksmithing

#PhotoOfTheDay is of a very large Ouroboros that I forged. I'd made several small ones and then I decided to attempt this much larger version (over a foot in diameter I think) which I then gave colors through spot heat treating of the steel. It hangs on a pillar in our backyard.#photo #photography #blacksmithing #art #maker

@Flux I like the diamond textured pattern at the top. I would love to see pictures of the tools you made too! That's half the fun of blacksmithing, for me at least.
