@kgw Every trade deal we have made with the United States since the FTA has seen us give up more of our sovereignty so that CORPORATIONS could profit. Communities didn't profit. People generally did not profit. All we gave up was so that rich shareholders (many of whom are not even Canadians) could make money.Why are we even negotiating another deal to destroy us?

Last week, I was in a major car accident on a snowy country road. Three other cars were involved. My car is a total loss. But I'm in one piece, and that's what matters. This was everything I hate about cars. The dangerous driving. The costs. The fear. Ironically, I've had this series of photos from my first trip across Canada open on my desktop for a few weeks now. I was waiting for the right moment to post them, a lull in the winter season maybe, certainly not a car crash. They are everything I love about driving. Discovery. Freedom. Movement. For several days now, I've been replaying the accident in my mind: the car that suddenly appeared in front of me and that I hit; and the cars coming from the opposite direction that crashed into me. And yet, I can't wait to get back on the road. Discovering new landscapes and the sensation of leaving it all behind. Strange emotions.
