@stefano In Japan, many of last 1 mile of FTTH are overhead lines.This makes far easier to fix early, which is important in countries often encountering natural hazards like Japan. Not beautiful, though.Underground lines are far more difficult to fix if the utility tunnels are splitted out by faults as of earthquakes.

@stefano also, a backwater valve could be of some use here, a plumber could probably tell if one can be added somewhere to protect your office.

@stefano Yikes! We have had from time to time rain water coming down into our office, from the roof, which sometimes turnes into a huge pool that spills over - but luckily no sewage.
