@NickBohle @darnell The ActivityPub plugin simply checks if Jetpack is installed on your blog. If not, it will do nothing ☺️
No lookups, no pings, just a local check for another plugin.

well, it does not trigger me, but does the plug-in send requests to jetpack/wp.com to check if the user is known? and if, what does Automattic do with the requests?
Sorry for asking, but I'm afraid that the plug-in might be cancelled due to lack of transparency.

@NickBohle @darnell there is no need to be triggered in any way, because the ActivityPub plugin will not force you to install Jetpack nor will make any connections itself.
This is a simple: If you are on DotCom or if you already use Jetpack, you can use this feature, otherwise you have to wait until we have the built in reader ready :)

🗨️ Also: I did not have any navy ship from #spain ever on my radar allegedly sent by the Spanish government to assist the flotilla to #gaza - there's just archive footage/images (P 46) - no nearby vessel has observed how 40 ships have been boarded, we just saw cc tv from some flotilla boats - is this a distraction from reality in #palestine on the ground? There's too much copy-paste noise out there in the web, so I prefer to wait for affirmation by sea/sat sources, ships etc. Stay tuned.

🗨️ I don't know what is really going on right now. Even investigative media, resistance #news, rely far too much on Israeli statements! In regards to the #FFC #GlobalSumudFlotilla vessels: Where's the naval data (upload) confirming it? Who are the "hundreds of activists" (names, list) captured not just off-shore #gaza, but between #cyprus (Alma) and #egypt in international waters w/o any naval record of nearby ships (distress calls)? Mikeno VI stopped - where's the crew?

I like it, but will not use it. This will trigger the German ANTI wp.com / Automattic front.
What can you tell them, not deleting the plug-in because of possible connections to JetPack and WordPress.com.

Yes, I know about that, not sure what your new feature does, is it only for connecting with WP’s feed reader?
