La ragione per cui tengo chiuse alle iscrizioni le mie istanze è quella che non intendo assumermi responsabilità nei confronti di terzi. Io non ho alle spalle uno staff di persone in grado di sostituirmi nella gestione e manutenzione dei server. Metti il caso che abbia un incidente, una malattia che mi impedisca di proseguire, chi si prenderebbe cura dei miei server? I miei ipotetici utenti si troverebbero spiazzati o costretti a cambiare istanza, con il rischio di perdere i propri dati.

@linuxeasy Ciao 🙂 un consiglio per usare al meglio Mastodon: gli hashtag è meglio metterli alla fine del post, separati da una riga vuota dal testo.
In questo modo risultano meno invasivi nella lettura e il link diventa molto più chiaro e comodo da cliccare 😉

It raises a good point though, where if you serve web+ap://, it's not understood by clients that are not aware of this scheme. If there were a way a client could communicate whether there is a protocol handler registered, then the server could tailor its response.
