@stefano “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”— George Santayana, The Life of Reason (1905)-----------------We live in the age of unprecedented wealth (at least for us, living in the "western society"), yet we will need to repeat all of those mistakes mentioned in the story number 1 - I am sure. What I'm not sure about is the reason why - might be because of the ignorance of the current generation that cannot see what happened and how easily a crowd can be manipulated. Or maybe it's just a simple "boredom" of the good life and people's "need of living in a struggle". We have a saying in slovak that goes something like "they don't know what do to because of so much pleasure(s of life)" meaning people live so well nowadays, they do things that could be unimaginable during "normal conditions".But no matter which one of the reasons it'll be, I think we'll get to the same point again. And yes, for that very reason, it is extremely important to remain open minded, with a "healthy view on the world and things going on". If that'll mean being anti-fascist, I don't know yet. But certainly being someone who won't crack under the first pressure, someone who won't follow the herd just because it could, maybe, provide a little bit of advantage.And I hope that people like you will be in the majority. I don't think it's possible, but still - let's hope.
