LeewardThis beautiful and dramatic pyramidical stack of basaltic strata is a regular stop for us. It has a wonderful strength about it.Every time we've been there, it looks different. Into The BlueWe were following the coast road from Westfjords to the north-western region of Iceland, and we had a lovely day for it.The dirt road was steep and with flimsy barriers, but we were in no rush.Looking across Húnaflói, bounded by Icelandic coastline on three sides and open to the Denmark Strait to the north. ReflectingFollowing the coastline along Ísafjarðardjúp, we stopped for coffee and to look for seals on the skerries.We waited for the rain to stop before we left the car, and we were greeted by this gorgeous rainbow over the fjord.We could see it's reflection in the still water, and a sharp eye can catch a ghostly double, just visible on the right.Litlibær, between Hestfjörður and Skötufjörður in the Westfjords of #Iceland.#FarAwayFriday #Iceland2025 #LandscapePhotography #Photography
