    ElementaryÞórufoss¹ is a pretty waterfall in Laxá í Kjós river in western #Iceland.Its 16m (52.4ft) drop is a wide horsetail into a steep-sided ravine. The area lies between Þingvallavatn² lake and Hvalfjörður³ fjord.When we first visited in 2014 it was fairly obscure, but it's very popular now.In summer or winter it's well worth a visit.¹ 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙬-𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘰-𝘧𝘰𝘴𝘴 (𝙏𝙝 as in 𝙛𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧)² 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝘷𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢-𝘷𝘧𝘢𝘵𝘯³ 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡-𝘧𝘺𝘶𝘳𝘳-𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘳@photography#WaterfallWednesday #LandscapePhotography #WeatherPhotography

    Last Time We Were ThereIn September 2014 we first visited this lovely town and the sun smiled that day. Surrounded by wonderful mountains, this place used to be closed for months by winter ice.
