#FindsFriday #Celtic: `Wood was the preferred material of late #IronAge European artisans. As demonstrated by the Fellbach-Schmiden figurines, the quality of wooden carvings produced during this period easily equalled that of statuary manufactured in bronze using the lost-wax casting technique. Given this knowledge, it is possible to imagine buildings with richly decorated façades, and shrines filled with magnificent animal effigies.`Source: Le musée de Bibracte
