@nyx that may be true, but every now and then pops a new effort to make the new implementation. Take Mezzano, SICL, Clasp, mocl and JSCL from the last decade.I think that by today standards, the ansi cl specification is SMALL (even compared to C), and it hits a sweet functionality spot. So maybe because it is because implementing CL is an achievable goal for small teams?

@jackdaniel In the layout of the second example of version 1 why do you insert a label pane between the text field and the button? Wouldn't +fill+ or similar do?
