I feel so incredibly lucky this weekend! White-pored chicken of the woods, Laetiporus cincinnatus, is an earlier and rarer relative of L. sulphureus in my area. This is my first time finding it..I though I'd have to look for a few years, and maybe even longer to find it in edible condition. So glad I went out! Now I have about 13oz to prepare.
