@jessamyn I block when I don't want someone's bullshit showing up in my replies without me seeing it. I mute when I'm OK with others seeing someone talking about me or responding to me without me engaging.
@pockets For myself, I removed CWs and very rarely regretted it. This doesn't mean I don't use CWs if I think that it might be (re-)traumatizing (like in war footage, not like in 'eeeew, I don't like this food/animal').
I also think that people stay home to rest -- either they are exhausted, or they know that rest will help them heal. But I rarely talk to people who think of home rest as a way to stop the spread of disease and to take care of others. I usually have to explain the idea when it comes up. I'm surprised how many respondents thought it was a major motivator. Anyway: first, third, and fourth. Thanks for replying everyone!
@julian ah, right! I meant, many Fediverse servers don't do a good job with caching headers, but you can use some of the data to guess if there have been changes. Caching headers are better though!
@taylorlorenz once I added up my 8 or so for work, and another half dozen for tv, phone, and school, I realized that I was creeping pretty close into the same territory. And I don't really feel like the TV Guy from Slacker.
Think of the last person you interacted with. How happy do you think you are relative to them? (I ask this question every day to gauge how happy the Fediverse is.) #happiness #poll #mentalhealth #psychology
