@ska @tranquillity @alice Instead we have outsourced this to popular culture, which at least at the time when I grew up (thinking of 90s movies here) had a strong theme of "be a persistent stalker until she gives in" (with a side of "be a persistent stalker until he gives in") in order to reach a "happy romantic ending".
