They came from vans driven and escorted by Moroccan state authorities, it's not the first time they've done it either (see: 2021). I know the fashionable orientalist view is that Mohammed VI and Moroccan elites have zero agency because colonialism, it's just that it gets reaaaallly complicated with Morocco seeing how the last time they did it was over THEIR colonialism of W Sahara.

@royaards@newsie.social How do you exactly "reduce global inequality" when #Gini index in countries like #Russia or #China is 0.33-0.36 while in #Finland it's 0.274? Because these countries strongly believe it's their economic model that is more efficient and are promoting it persistently elsewhere, including Asia and Africa. The largest wave of migration to EU after 2015 was triggered by Russian military intervention in #Syria and they never really hidden force civilians out of the country to use that wave as a weapon against EU. So how do you exactly "reduce global inequality under such conditions?
