@PurpleJillybeans It's been over twenty years since I touched one, but from what I recall they were just about the worst performance you could get in a Pentium III clone at the time. I don't recall any hard numbers but I remember trying to get BeOS to run on one and it was a slideshow on the desktop. That could have been a lack of video drivers though.

@amoroso I remember when we (Adobe) acquired Photoshop. One of the primary motivators for it was to drive PostScript printer sales. It very quickly took on a life of its own as did Illustrator. The rest is history.
