In a park: A barefoot, sturdy small human (3?) struts up to a woman (30s?) giving a tiny new human a feed.
Small Human surveys the situation for a moment, nods decisively and then says with supreme confidence. "I've drank that. It's good."
New Mum bursts into laughter.A small human (4?) is waiting at a pedestrian crossing with Nana but the light is taking SO LONG to go green. With a huff, she lays down like a starfish on the footpath and says: "Tell me when we can go Nana! I'm SLEEPING NOW!"
In a cafe: A tiny human (1?) is watching Mum eat her eggs benny* breakfast with big brown eyes.
Every time Mum spears some egg, Tiny Human opens her mouth like a baby bird.
Optimistically going "Ahhhh?"
Hoping for a bite.A small rotund white dog (powder puff cross terrier?) is sitting in front of a Thai food stall where chilli is being fried.
Rotund Dog raises her nose, sniffs and sneezes.
Her tail wagging happily.
Her nose is tickling, but she doesn't seem to mind.
Maybe she'll give it another sniff...A woman (40s?) is attempting to get a selfie in front of a sea and mountain view with her two very tall teens.

Any typos spotted in this post are very excited about the fringe festival coming up in their small city starting March 5th. Fringe is their favourite time of year and they've just worked out how to see 32 shows in ten days!

@georgepenney by the way, I saw your reply about Amazon on email but cannot find it on this app. I agree. My book was listed on Amazon without asking me, but the effort of removing it is probably not worth it. And no one will buy it anyway given the price that Springer have set. Ask me for a pdf or get the colour paperback in August.

@rygorous ah, so for example, a not quite zero value and zero compare differently depending on whether DAZ is on, stuff like that?

@aeva the main thing that breaks without denormals on is that some numeric code might start slightly misbehaving in rare corner cases you're unlikely to notice, and certain assumptions like "if (a != b) then a-b != 0" don't hold with denormals off

I solved this when I was doing a synth in Flash by adding noise

@aeva It's fine for audio code but when you turn it on, you generally want to put it in a scope guard thingy that saves the original MXCSR and restores it after (way out in the outer loop, not per function or anything, toggling that isn't super cheap) because it changes the results of some float calcs and breaks a few rules that while not _super_ important might trip you up
